Hive Alive is a feed supplement combining natural bio-active ingredients which promote intestinal well-being and improved colony strength. Is the only feed supplement scientifically proven to deliver stronger colonies, increase honey production, keep disease levels low and improve over-winter honeybee success.
A recent trial performed by the Hellenic Institute of Apiculture, Greece (November 2012 to June 2014) compared 20 colonies with Hive Alive activated syrup against 20 colonies fed ordinary sugar syrup. The trial showed that routinely feeding Hive Alive to bees nearly doubled (+89%) in colony population in comparison to ordinary sugar syrup when used biannually.
HiveAlive liquid contains a blend of unique seaweeds, scientifically selected for honeybee health. It can be added to sugar syrup and fed using a frame feeder, top feeder or another style like the ultimate hive feeder.

Hive Alive Active Ingredients:
- OCEASHIELD – is largely composed of a unique blend of scientifically selected Irish seaweed extracts called OceaShield which has many beneficial properties. Seaweeds are routinely fed in animal feeds to help reduce the need for antibiotics.
- THYMOL – contains thyme which is recognized as a key substance in the fight against Nosema. We have developed a unique emulsification process to ensure it blends easily into sugar syrup and does not cause separation or re-crystallization.
- LEMONGRASS – contains a precise amount of lemongrass in order to increase attractiveness of syrup but does not contain enough to induce unwanted robbing. Lemongrass also has a calming effect on bees.
