Mite Away Quick Strips (MAQS) have a treatment period of just 7 days. During application the daytime temperatures must be between 50° F – 84° F (10° C- 29° C). Strips are laid across the tops of the brood frames and they can be used during a honey flow if necessary.
A spacer rim is no longer needed for these strips, but you still need to wear the recommended safety equipment for acid. Now available in all states and certified for use in the production of Organic Honey!  (one dose = 2 strips / pads)

MAQS Option One: 7-day treatment
- Place 2 mite strips on top of the bottom brood box for 7 days
- Monitor mite levels post treatment
MAQS Option Two: 21-day treatment
- Apply 1st mite strip at Day +0
- Apply 2nd strip at day+14, for a total of 21 days
- Monitor mite levels post treatment.
Mite Away Quick Strips have a one year expiration date from the time of manufacture and should be stored below 77° F (25° C) away from direct sunlight. For a Formic Acid treatment with a longer shelf life see Formic Pro Mite Treatments.
