Drone Flight Insect Cage is use to store drones temporarily as you work them during instrumental insemination of queens. This unit can be used to hold the Drone Collection Cage and then you can easily open the collection cage inside the mesh and release the drones. Picking up the drones from inside the drone flight cage mesh cage is an easier and quicker process than recovering them from the drone collection cage directly.
- Drone flight insect cage can also be used as an apitherapy bee flight cage to allow the bees for BVT some room to move around
- Add a plastic or Styrofoam plate to the bottom of the cage and place slightly damp sugar syrup soaked cotton balls in a Dixie cup to provide food for the bees
- Housing your bees in this style cage typically allows them to live several weeks
- Assembled insect cage is approximately 8″ x 8″ x 8″
- The hand access hole is 6″ round
- The hand / arm sleeve is approximately 12″ long (sleeve keeps the insects inside while your hand is in the cage)
Can also be used as a general insect flight cage.
